
Dr. Benigna v. Brederlow joins the Safinah Group Yacht team.
Benigna joined the Safinah Group Yacht team as Head of Yacht in November 2020, and was previously working for a coating consulting company
With a background in Biology and Human Genetics, qualification of Dr. rer. nat. (doctorate of natural sciences), Benigna has a focus for detailed and accurate data analysis, organisation and structuring processes and technical reporting.
Benigna has worked within the superyacht coatings industry since 2008. She has been involved in projects regarding topcoat assessment, visiting most of the large new build projects in Germany as well as many of the largest superyachts in today’s growing fleet.
Benigna has been heavily involved in observing and analysing topcoat quality, monitoring performance and changes due to aging. She was a member of the working groups for the ICOMIA Guideline and ISO 11347, developing standards for applicators, shipyards and owners. She also has completed the Registered Marine Coatings Inspectors (RMCI) course.
Benigna is a keen sailor, having started in offshore yacht racing in 2000, working for the IRC organisation and has even completed an Atlantic crossing, today she enjoys adventurous travel and discovering countries, cultures, and nature.
