With the significant increase in demand for global offshore wind projects, the technical challenges associated with corrosion protection, in particular the successful application of protective coatings, represent a significant risk to long term asset integrity.
This week Safinah Group had the opportunity to highlight some of these challenges and risks at the Singapore Renewable Energy Conference. Organised by Clyde & Co. Clasis Singapore the conference, targeting insurers and loss adjusters, in the renewables market featured a range of interesting topics through face to face and virtual presentations.
Safinah’s Simon Daly presented a paper entitled: “Risks associated with coating failure in the offshore wind sector”.
The presentation was followed by a questions and answers session.
